Stem Cell Information

Tom Coburn reported After nearly a decade of research on human embryonic stems cells, three decades of research on animal stem cells, and more than $100 million in federal funding, embryonic stem cell research has yet to deliver any cures or treatments. There are zero human clinical trials or proven therapies using embryonic stem cells. Yet, adult stem cells and stem cells from cord blood have yielded more than 70 treatments and therapies for diseases and the National Institues of Health is funding another 330 human clinical trials using these cells.

And no babies or embryos were killed in these treatments

My friend's daughter had a rare type of childhood cancer. They tried harvesting stem cells, but it didn't work. The little girl died anyway. Modern science is promising, however, it doesn't work for everyone. Maybe in the future, things will be looking up.
