A religion of peace???

Jerusalem Post reported A central London rally organized by the British Palestine Solidarity Campaign on Saturday heard Respect Party MP George Galloway advocate a general boycott of Israel, as well as other speeches calling for Israel's destruction....

It looks like Galloway made it home safely after lying to the Senate about his involvement in the Oil for Food scandal. For further information on Galloway, see this
The Palestinian representative to the UK, Husam Zomlot, also addressed the rally. "As we speak today, the Israelis are continuing the ethnic cleansing campaign they started in 1948," he said. "To the Israelis, I say that there will absolutely be no peace without the right of return." "The right of return is non-negotiable! Apartheid no more!" exclaimed Zomlot....
Apartheid was a system of separation where blacks were not allowed to live with the whites. Arabs that live in Israel are not relegated to separate "reserves" like happened in South Africa. "Right of return" is a demand that Arabs be allowed to enter Israel and live there, thus outnumbering the Jews living there, and turning Israel from a Jewish State into an Arab State. I've got news for them. It is not going to happen
Calling American president George W. Bush and Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon the "two most dangerous men in the world," Benn condemned America's military presence in Afghanistan and Iraq, and Israel's anti-terrorism measures. "My dear friends, if this process continues, there will be possibly some sort of a world war," said Benn. "We are talking about respect for international law," he added....
Didn't you notice, we are in the middle of a world war right now, a war on Terrorism, with terrorists all over the earth.
Galloway, the newly elected MP for the anti-Iraq war Respect Party, used the rally as an attempt to launch an international boycott of Israel. "It's about time that the British government made some reparations for the Balfour declaration," said Galloway. "Instead, Tony Blair said that Israel has no better friend than the British government. We say to Mr. Blair: You should be ashamed by that. "The Palestinian people are like the 300 Spartans holding the pass of Thermopylae, until the others can arrive and come to their side. We will join them, by boycotting Israel. By boycotting Israeli goods. By picketing the stores that are selling Israeli goods," he said to cheers and applause.
The Balfour declaration gave Palestine to the Jews for a homeland, and it included
  • What is now Israel
  • what is now called the Occupied Terrorities, which may become a Palestinian state
  • AND the entire state of Jordan.
Subsequently the area east of the Jordan river was called Trans Jordan, and now the state of Israel, and was dedicated to the Arabs, and the Jews were given all of the land west of the Jordan river. The greedy Arabs insisted on much of the land west of the Jordan.
Azzam Tamimi, head of the Muslim Association of Britain, delivered an Islamist speech, guided by an ideology that rejects nation states in favor of a global Islamic state. "There are 22 stupid Arab states, why have another stupid Palestinian state?" he asked. "I don't want another Palestinian state, I want Jaffa free, I want Haifa free, I want every inch of Palestine free! "I don't want to see any form of racist nationalism. And the most racist form of nationalism is Zionism. The problem is with a nationalist ideology that is the most racist on the face of the earth."
If you want all of the Arabs to be free, don't attack Israel. That is the only country where Arabs are truly free.
Stuart Pexley, a former Catholic bishop, and a member of Pax Christi, said: "Jesus Christ attempted to create a new humanity without divisions. As a Christian I am opposed to the apartheid wall."
What you refer to as the arpatheid wall is intended to protect Israelies from suicide bombers. And Jesus Christ did not attempt to create a new humanity (on Earth) without divisions, He said that He is the Way to Eternal Life.

LOL! Um, yoohoo Mr. Big Talker, go ahead tell your supporters that every last Spartan died at Thermopylae.

Joseph Alexander Norland blogged Give 'em a state, for they only want peace - Calls for Israel's destruction in London

Al-Qaeda gains Palestine foothold blogged AL-QAEDA has established a foothold in Palestine with a new militant group based in Gaza formed by extremists who have become disillusioned with Hamas and Islamic Jihad. Amid the biggest flare-up of violence in Gaza since a ceasefire was declared three months ago by Palestinians and Israelis, the Jerusalem Post has quoted unnamed Palestinian Authority security officials as saying that a new group called Jundallah or 'Allah's Brigade' had links to the terrorist organisation headed by Osama bin Laden. The new terror group consists mainly of former Hamas and Islamic Jihad members who believe these two militant groups have become too moderate. It has close ties to al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran.

Captain Ed blogged When Hamas Is Just Not Radical Enough. For those who have argued for a Palestinian state as a resolution to Middle East violence, this development should cause some hesitation about the idea of sovereignty on the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The Scotsman reports that al-Qaeda has gained a toehold in Gaza by recruiting disenchanted terrorists from Hamas and Islamic Jihad. Now we face the possibility of pushing the creation of a pre-failed state, a proto-Taliban in which al-Qaeda freely operates. Why the US should find that in our interest, or in the interest of peace, escapes me completely. The Palestinians themselves have made it clear at the ballot box that they prefer the warlike approach of Hamas over the pseudomoderate approach of Fatah, and now AQ has begun to provide them the war they obviously want against both the US and Israel. Even if Abbas wanted to eject the terrorists, he clearly has shown he cannot, even with the existing Hamas and IJ. He certainly won't have the fortitude to stand up to AQ. It's time for another approach for Gaza and the West Bank.

RBMN commented Since Israel can do everything up to, and including, making all of Gaza look like a county fair parking lot in the dead of Winter, I don't think the US military will go anywhere near Gaza. It isn't necessary. And, in terms of violent lunatic riots, getting the US involved in some military operation in Gaza is (Koran-down-the-toilet-story) raised to the fourth power.

Dafydd ab Hugh commented And now, for the tenth time, I will explain why it IS good that Israel withdraw... and it has nothing whatsoever to do with any expectation of Palestinian rationality (which expectation I do not hold). Rather, there are three reasons unrelated to that why I applaud it:
  1. Israeli doves will no longer be able to persuade any significant portion of the Israeli population that the Palestinans are reasonable people who can be negotiated with;
  2. Once the terrorists have control of Gaza and the West Bank, they will have territory, infrastructure, and a military... in other words, they will be targets. Think "Operation Matador."

You suggest this could be "proto-Taliban in which al-Qaeda freely operates." And it took us what, two weeks, to take down the Taliban?

Any attack on American or Israeli assets would bring an immediate response -- much faster than against Afghanistan, because (2a) we'll be looking for it, and (2b) we're right next door, for God's sake.
  3. The average Palestinian hates Jews so much, he doesn't want to think about them. These clods will force their people to think about the Jews/Israelis/Zionists constantly... and the Palestinians will hate AQ for it.

There is nothing AQ can do there that Hamas does not already do. There is no change. Everything is just a lot clearer, that's all.
Jimmy's Attack Rabbit commented Another approach would be to forget a Palestinian state. Have Gaza go back to Egypt and the West Bank back to Jordan, Israel keeps the Golan Heights from Syria and Israel's "fence" becomes the border.

Dan Darling blogged With the Palestinian Authority security forces still struggling to get out of the Soviet-esque pattern of interlocking and overlapping areas of jurisdiction set up by Arafat to keep them struggling against one another, Jundallah is highly unlikely to get much flak from the PA either.... The elimination of Jundallah, therefore, should become a top priority for the Israelis assuming that it isn't already.

A bunch of idiots blather anti-Israel comments in the UK, and Palestinians find Hamas is too peacful. I suspect there will be a Palestinian state, and just as before it will immediately attack Israel. I just hope that it is not another Six Day war, but that rather than resting on the seventh day, as God did when he created the Earth, I hope they will wipe out the Arabs who have been attacking them.
