Can of worms

• We only invaded Iraq because it has oil
  We invaded Iraq based on intelligence at that showed they were a threat because of his failure to prove he had destroyed weapons he admitted he had, which the UN also agreed he had. The inspectors from the UN were worthless, scandal, Sodam Insane had the burden to prove he complied. Post 9/11 we can't sit around and wait to see if he did or didn't. He had 10 years and he most definitely gave us his middle finger time and time again. Hind site is always 20/20

• The US only gives foreign aid with alterior motives
  All countries give foreign aid with their own countries interests at heart

• The US currently is disliked now more than any other time (Pepsi Lady is right)
  Is the US not liked sometimes because we wouldn't go along with someone elses plan? (the UN - who doesn't go along with their own plan half of the time)
  Who says we have to? Of course we have to weigh the consequences of our decisions also.
  Countries dont help or not help other countries because the "like" them. They do it because of their country's interests or because they either fear or respect the other country.
  
  
• These countries take our aid because they have to
  The countries who take our aid are welcome to say "no thank you" and take the $$ from all of the countries who only give out of the goodness of their heart.

• Stuff going on in Africa should have taken precedence over Iraq where the people would truly embrace us
  I need to look into this Africa thing. I know we've done some things because my hubby has been on alert countless times to go.
  I don't think the people in Somalia embraced us.....
  We provide a lot of help, particularly regarding AIDS prevention, and Africa is still filled with small countries that steal aid money they receive and use it to support their autocratic or dictatorial control over their own people.
  
  
• The US should not unilaterally support Israel
  I agree with him on the Israel thing
  I don't agree. If we did not support Israel, who would? Europe is very anti-semantic. Actually I probably should just say anti-jew, because Arabs are semites also, since they are descendents of Abraham via Ishmael.
