Mark Krikorian wrote on The Corner on National Review Online On the heels of yesterday's wipe-out of pro-illegal-immigration candidates in town elections in the D.C. suburb of Herndon, Va., comes a new Zogby poll (which I paid for) on the immigration proposals in Congress which I think provides a better look at public views than the push-polls conducted by the mainstream media (and was conducted before the illegal-alien anthem and the May Day general strike). We offered respondents a choice between the various approaches (and even avoided perfectly legitimate, but hotton-button, terms like "amnesty" and "illegal aliens"), and found overwhelming support for the House approach of attrition through enforcement over the Senate approach of legalization and increases in legal immigration.
This is very good news, because I much prefer the House version
