Alito's wife in tears

Michelle Malkin blogged Why is this woman crying?

She sat through three days of the Democrate relentless attacks on a man she knows to be an honorable man, and she had just bottled it up, but when Senator Graham offered an apology for what the Senate had done to her husband, the memories of the smear attacks was overwhelming, and she had to leave for an hour or so to recompose herself.
The Political Teen has the video of Judge Alito's wife breaking down as Sen. Lindsey Graham offers an apology for the past three days of relentless smear attacks by the Dems. I've isolated video of Sen. Graham's apology: Download the video (.wmv file). 3.5MB.

I have many differences with Sen. Graham, but thank God for his show of decency and humanity today. Now, where are the apologies from Sens. Schumer, Kennedy, Biden, Feingold, and the rest of smear merchants?

If you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen. All he has to do is answer the questions presented to him in a truthful manner, without spending fifteeen minutes trying to sidestep the question.
If his memory is so bad he can't remember details about an orginization he joined in college he is too far advanced with alzheimers to even be in the running.
This is a position that requires a clear head and recall of the things learned in college, if college is something to be treated so lightly that nothing is remembered why wasre ones time by atending a place of higheer learning.

Alito is doing a good job standing up to the bloviating Senators who just like to hear themselves talk. But the undeserved personal attacks certainly hurt his wife.

All he has to do is answer the questions presented to him in a truthful manner, without spending fifteeen minutes trying to sidestep the question.

I know many of the Senators have spent 15 minutes, and even more, asking a single question, but I can't recall a single answer from Alito that took anywhere near that long.

If his memory is so bad he can't remember details about an orginization he joined in college he is too far advanced with alzheimers to even be in the running.

The organization did not have any meetings, just board meetings, and he was not on the board. They published a magazine, and his membership was basically a subscription to the magazine. No one restricted the content of articles submitted, so you can't blame him for their content.

This is a position that requires a clear head

Which he clearly has, as can be seen from his ability to recall many many different cases, and being able to state the facts of the case and what was written in the decision.

and recall of the things learned in college,

No it requires ability to recall the law, which he does. Magazine subscriptions, or the content of each issue, are not required. I studied Electrical Engineering in college, and I remember a lot of it, even though I became a computer programmer rather than an engineer, and I dont remember any magazines I may have read in my spare time in college.

Considering what is taught in college nowdays, I am not sure there is much to be gained from attending.
