Obama tells Jews: 'I never practiced Islam'

JTA reported U.S. Sen. Barack Obama confronted rumors that he is a secret Muslim in a conference call with the Jewish news media.... "I never practiced Islam. I was raised by my secular mother. I have been a member of the Christian religion and an active member of a church," he said. "I was sworn in with my hand on my family Bible and have said the Pledge of Allegiance since I was 3 years old."

Did he or did he knot accompany his father to a Mosque for Friday prayers? Did he or did he not repeat the prayers? I believe those prayers begin with the Shahadah, and I believe reciting those words makes you a Muslim. Now he may have renounced Islam and become a Christian, but that makes him an Apostate.

What are you talking about? His father left him when he was 2. He never had any opportunity to go to a mosque and repeat prayers.
Even if he was a muslim (which he is not) why can't he be a good president to try and bring PEACE to the middle east, I mean there's nothing wrong with being muslim. But there IS something wrong with spreading false rumors about ANYTHING, especially ones that capitalize on the sad fact that after 9/11 there has been increased fear and racism towards anything muslim.
This is exactly the kind of false fear-mongering that tears our nation apart. Barack Obama stands for bringing this country together, regardless of race, religion, region. Research the facts yourself from trusted sources.
By the way I'm Jewish, and I'm insulted that some of this garbage is coming from other Jews.

If He never had any opportunity to go to a mosque and repeat prayers. then why did he tell Nicholas Kristof that the Muslim call to prayer as “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.”

I don't hate Muslims. I just don't believe everything tey say, because the principle of taqqiyah says lying to an infidel isn't immoral.

I agree when we choose a President we should be concerned with how well he will defend the country. And I don't trust Obama or Hillary.
