Black Sunday

Ideoblog noted that today is the birthday for both Michael Moore (1954) and Timothy McVeigh (1968) and he said "no, not moral equivalents, but I do see a connection, and since this is my blog I can make any connections I want"

To expand on the connection he noticed, I will add that I noticed that today is the anniversary of both 1996 when the main assembly of the Palestine Liberation Organization voted to revoke clauses in its charter that called for an armed struggle to destroy Israel (too bad they really didn't mean it), and 2002 when after a meeting at the Vatican, American Roman Catholic leaders agreed to make it easier to remove priests who are guilty of sexually abusing minors.

Maybe we should call this Black Sunday.
