Yahoo! Finance reported According to the New Hampshire State Republican Party and an Associated Press report, Republican presidential candidate and Texas Congressman Ron Paul will be excluded from an upcoming forum of Republican candidates to be broadcast by Fox News on January 6, 2008.
It is about time. Why not cut some of the other deadwood that does not stand a chance of becoming the nominee?
Update: It appears the story is wrong, and there will not even be a debate that day. I still think it is time to start narrowing the slate of debaters.

I agree! Let's start narrowing the debaters by first cutting Mayor Giuliani that would be fine. Second lets get rid of Governor Huckabee. According to Mitt Romney he raised taxes. And vice' versa' Huckabee said he thought Romney was a flip flopper. I agree. So get rid of them both. Then there's that actor that never shows up to debates. He's gone. Then cut Bush's best friend from Arizona. Sound's great! Then all we're left with is the Congressman that was named the "Taxpayers Best Friend". I'm a tax payer, so I'm going to vote for him.
Paul is an absolute idiot.
I admit I am not enamored with any of the five you would dump, but any would be better than Paul.
What gives you the authority to call Ron Paul an idiot? Do some research. You'll see he's no idiot.
I have listened to what he says. Perhaps he is not an idiot. but if studied a long time maybe he could improve his IQ to the idiot level.
So, what part of what he says do you not agree with?
Most of the things he says shows he just does not understand the world we live in. Maybe things are different on his planet.
Specifically, what things?
Drastically limiting the ability of government to collect and store data regarding citizens’ personal matters is sheer stupidity as long as Islamofascists are trying to convinge peaceful Muslims in this country that Islam requires them to do violent things like blow up buildings and kill people to spread Islam.
No Taxes on Tips. Why should waiters and waitresses not pay tax on their income.
He is wrong on Iraq. I would much rather confront the Islamoterrists in Baghdad and Basrah rather than Boston, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Bismarck, Boise, Buffalo, Broken Arrow, or Beaumont; in Mosul rather than Mandeville, LA (where Greta now lives), Miami, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Mobile, Memphis, Muskogee, or Mesquite; in Karkuk and Karbala rather than Kansas City, Knoxville, Ketchum, or Kilgore; in Tall Afar and Tikrit rather than Tulsa, Tallahassee, Tampa Bay, Terre Haute, Toledo, Topeka, Tucson, Tahlequah, Texas City, or Texarkana.
Thinking Iran indeed poses no quantifiable imminent nuclear threat to us or her neighbors.
Opposition to a National ID card. We need one both to protect us from terrorists and to get immigration under control.
First of all, at this point no one has actually voted, so how can anyone determine who is "deadwood" and who has no chance of winning? You can't. Therefore, noone should be cut from a debate for that reason. Cutting someone from a presidential debate at this point could only be because someone doesn't want their point of view heard. Maybe they are raising valid issues that the controlling elite, who obviously control the media, do not want brought to the forefront.
Second, the government should absolutely be limited on what data can be collected and stored on its citizens. They should only have power to do so if there is proof that there is reason to do so. This is, in fact, a country built on the freedom of its citizens to hold their own beliefs without interference from their government. And a president should NOT have the power to GRANT HIMSELF the right to infringe on citizens privacy, as Bush did. Furthermore, it insults the intelligence of a peaceful Muslim to assume that he/she can be convinced that they should blow up a building to spread Islam.
Third, obviously you have never been a waiter (or waitress). Their base pay is less than minimum wage due to the fact that they have the ability to earn tips. They ARE taxed on their meager base pay. If I want to give someone a tip for the service they have given me, I do not mean for a portion of it to go to the government. To go even further, why should anyone's income be taxed? Why should we not, instead, be taxed on goods we consume?
Finally, what Islamoterrists are we confronting in Iraq? Come on, we are there to insure our right to their oil. If we left them alone to deal with their own issues, would they be interested in blowing up our buildings and killing our people? The extremist may be, but they are not all housed in Iraq. They are everywhere, and they will always be. No war in Iraq will convince them to be different. Would you sacrifice your child for that?

You will not be able to say that tomorrow.
so how can anyone determine who is "deadwood" and who has no chance of winning? You can't.
Sure I can. Paul and Hunter on the Republican side, Kucinich, Dood, Biden and Gravel (and maybe Richardson) on the Democratic side don't have a snowball's chance in hell.

There is a big hole in the round in NYC where two tall buildings used to stand.

No one challenges your rights to believe whatever you want. But our right to swing your arms ends where my nose begins, and if your "belief" is that you should encourage young kids to blow themselves up to kill others, we should know you are doing it, and find a way to stop you.

They should be taxed on their entire income.

Fine with me.

Al Qaeda in Iraq
Come on, we are there to insure our right to their oil.
If that was true, we would have taken control of their oil fields immediately, and let the rest of them kill each other.
If we left them alone to deal with their own issues, would they be interested in blowing up our buildings and killing our people?
Once they are fully in control of Iraq, yes. They are driven by a desire to convert the entire world to Islam.
The extremist may be, but they are not all housed in Iraq. They are everywhere, and they will always be. No war in Iraq will convince them to be different. Would you sacrifice your child for that?
If I had children I would be proud to have them serve in the military, to protect this country.
